    • Product Description

      Fire-resistant glass refers to special glass that can effectively block the spread of flames and control the spread of fire when a fire occurs. Its fire protection effect is evaluated by fire resistance performance. The test method is an experimental method in which the standard heating curve of a fire is simulated in a fire resistance test furnace to test the fire integrity and fire insulation of the glass, and the type and grade are determined based on the test results.

      *integrity of fire-resistant
      Under standard fire test conditions, the ability of a glass component, when exposed to fire on one side, to prevent the penetration of flames and hot gases or the appearance of flames on the unexposed side within a certain period of time.

      *insulation of fire-resistant
      Under standard fire test conditions, the ability of a glass component, when exposed to fire on one side, to keep the temperature of its unexposed side from exceeding a specified value within a certain period of time.

      * fire-resistant time
      Under standard fire test conditions, the period of time from the moment the glass component is exposed to fire until it loses its integrity or insulation requirements.

      * laminated fire-resistant glass
      Special glass made by laminating two or more layers of glass, or by laminating one layer of glass with organic materials, and meeting the corresponding fire resistance performance requirements.

      * monolithic fire-resistant glass
      Special glass composed of a single layer of glass and meeting the corresponding fire resistance performance requirements.

       *insulated fire-resistant glass (Type A)
      Fire-resistant glass whose fire resistance performance simultaneously meets the requirements of fire integrity and fire insulation.

      *integrity-only fire-resistant glass (Type C)
      Fire-resistant glass whose fire resistance performance only meets the requirement of fire integrity.

      High borosilicate glass was developed in the early 20th century. Because it was difficult to melt and form and had a low yield, it was used only in top laboratories and has long been known as the “King of Glass.”

      High borosilicate glass has a low expansion coefficient. Its coefficient of linear thermal expansion is (3.3 ± 0.1) × 10⁻⁶/K, and it is called borosilicate 3.3 glass; when the coefficient of linear thermal expansion is (4.0 ± 0.1) × 10⁻⁶/K, it is called borosilicate 4.0 glass. Because it has good temperature resistance, high strength, high hardness, high light transmittance, and high chemical stability, it has broad application fields.

      Borosilicate Glass 4.0

      is a specialized glass with a low coefficient of thermal expansion (approximately 4.0×10⁻⁶/K) and a high softening point, giving it excellent resistance to thermal shock. It can withstand temperature differences over 200°C without cracking, making it a reliable choice for fire-resistant glazing in buildings, as well as for high-temperature laboratory and kitchen applications. The glass offers superior chemical stability against acids and alkalis, high light transmittance (up to 92%), and is lighter than ordinary glass by roughly 8-10%, contributing to reduced structural load while maintaining high mechanical strength。

      Maximum product size: 6000 mm × 2600 mm;

      thickness range: 2–19 mm.

      It provides a good foundation for further processing such as lamination, insulating, and vacuum glazing, and offers better assurance of fire performance.

      Excellent Performance of High Borosilicate 4.0 Fire-Resistant Glass

      Excellent Fire Resistance

      Its ultra-high softening point provides a fundamental and stable guarantee for fire performance, and its fire resistance duration exceeds 120 minutes. It has high transparency. While maintaining the building’s sense of openness and aesthetics, it still ensures visibility in the event of a fire, facilitating escape and rescue.

      High Strength and Ultra-Light Performance

      It is more than 8% lighter than ordinary glass while having high mechanical strength. Its exceptionally strong yet lightweight characteristics significantly reduce the building’s self-weight.

      Excellent Optical Performance

      Low-iron, environmentally friendly formula; high light transmittance, with visible light transmittance of 92%.

      Ultra-High Chemical Stability

      Resistant to acid, alkali, and ultraviolet light, with good fire resistance.

      Excellent Processability

      Monolithic high borosilicate fire-resistant glass meets fire and safety performance requirements. Before tempering, it can be processed by cutting, edge grinding, drilling, coating, and other methods. High borosilicate glass can be processed together with other glass by lamination, insulating, vacuum, and other techniques to produce building energy-saving fire-resistant materials with better overall performance.

      High-Temperature Resistance Test of High Borosilicate 4.0 Fire-Resistant Glass

      High borosilicate 4.0 fire-resistant glass has passed multiple fire tests. Among them, 5 mm and 6 mm passed the 2-hour test according to national standard fire testing; 8 mm, 10 mm, and 12 mm passed the 3-hour test according to national standard fire testing.

      Applications of High Borosilicate Series Glass

      High borosilicate glass is mainly used in fields such as fire protection, heat-resistant home appliances, industrial sight glasses, optics, bulletproofing, airports, and hospitals
